Cristina Rivera Garza, the 2020 winner of the MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant” and the Distinguished Professor in Hispanic Studies and director of the Creative Writing Program in Spanish at the University of Houston, presented "Medicine, Language and the Body" on Sept. 22, 2021, as part of the event series, Innervations: Humanistic Medicine and Stories from the Texas Medical Center.
