The Journey: What a Young Child’s Unaccompanied Voyage to America Tells Us About Our Patients
I got to sit back and listen to The New York Times Bestselling Author, Stegner and Radcliffe Fellow, and fellow Salvadoran Javier Zamora read from his brilliant book SOLITO, and afterwards, he and I talked about trauma, how reading his book makes us better doctors, among other things. We billed this as “Poetry, Pupusas, and Personal Narratives,” which still makes me smile.
